In 2016, the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program was introduced as an undergraduate academic program designed to prepare qualified pharmacists. Graduates of the LIMU PharmD program are expected to become leaders in transforming the Libyan healthcare system through advanced clinical knowledge and professional practice. Students who wish to pursue a career as pharmacists are encouraged to enroll in the LIMU PharmD program, which provides comprehensive education and training in pharmaceutical sciences and clinical practice. ​
