First-year students of the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)

Scientific leadership is a reality that unfolds every day.

First-year students of the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program participated in practical training at the Model Pharmacy, reflecting the institution’s continuous efforts to achieve real and profound change in the structure of higher education through round-the-clock academic and professional work.

In line with this approach, first-year PharmD students attended training sessions today, Wednesday 14 January 2026, at the Model Pharmacy, focusing on effective patient counseling through simulation-based learning using virtual patients.

During these sessions, students themselves alternated roles between pharmacist and patient. Both theoretical and practical lessons were delivered to enhance their understanding of drug abbreviations and proper dispensing practices. The training was conducted under the supervision of the program’s educational supervisors and laboratory technicians, as part of the sixth week of the second educational unit, General Dispensing.

This training contributes to the development of communication skills and the practical application of theoretical knowledge in real-world settings. It also helps improve work efficiency and speed while reducing the likelihood of medication errors through accurate understanding and interpretation of drug abbreviations.

The Doctor of Pharmacy program is committed to implementing all educational lessons and activities in accordance with quality assurance principles and internationally recognized standards in pharmaceutical education.
